Gaining an Extra 200 Miles of Range? Kind of—Here’s What I Built > Tech

After recently buying an electric vehicle, I started thinking about how to better utilize the frunk space. That led me to design and build some oversized battery-lookalike containers. On the outside, they look like giant EV batteries, but inside they’re actually functional hidden storage boxes.

I aimed to make the design realistic enough to pass as actual battery packs while still offering practical space to store tools, emergency gear, or anything else you'd want tucked away. It’s a fun little project that gives the impression of boosting range—if only psychologically!
