Why do Korean landlords reject me just because I’m a foreigner?

I’ve been living in Korea for over 2 years. I speak decent Korean, have a stable job, and a clean rental history.
But every time I try to rent a new apartment, I get the same response:
“Sorry, foreigners not allowed.” No explanation. No second chance. Just a flat rejection.
One landlord even said,
“Foreigners leave suddenly or don’t pay on time.” I felt hurt. I pay taxes here too. Why am I treated like a risk?
Is this common? Has anyone else experienced this?

Same here. I had full-time work and a Korean guarantor, and they still rejected me just for being non-Korean. It’s honestly exhausting.

Imagine saying “Koreans don’t pay on time” — people would lose their minds. But somehow it’s okay to generalize foreigners? Hypocrisy much?
