"I went to Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do with some close friends. I heard that the recent wildfire spread to Hadong, but fortunately, the area we visited wasn’t affected.

We visited a temple called Hwaeomsa, and it was fascinating when the monk there rang a huge bell as lunchtime approached. The temple is known for its Deulmaehwa (flowering shrubs), but unfortunately, it wasn’t the right season for them yet, so I couldn’t see the flowers... What a shame.

After that, we went to try some large-sized oysters, which were about the size of my palm. The oysters were huge and delicious, but they were so expensive for the portion size, so it felt a bit heavy on the wallet. Still, I think it’s worth trying for the experience!

In the evening, we had a party with makgeolli and soju. The atmosphere was so great that I ended up drinking too much and passed out. Hahaha, next time I’ll try to control myself better!

We only had a two-day trip, so we couldn’t visit many places, but I definitely want to go again once the wildfire is fully extinguished and everything settles down. I highly recommend you all visit this place sometime in the future!
