Is Korean Tteokbokki Really Spicy? > Food

I want to try tteokbokki in Korea. Is it really as spicy as people say?

I've had a lot of spicy food in the U.S., but I’m curious about the level of spice in Korean tteokbokki.

Are there places where you can adjust the spiciness?
